Visa Information

Indonesia offers Visa-on-Arrival (VoA) facilities at numerous designated airports, seaports, and land border crossings. This visa allows eligible travellers to enter Indonesia for tourism, business meetings, government duties, purchasing goods, attending meetings, or transit purposes. The VoA is valid for 30 days and can be extended once for an additional 30 days by applying at a local immigration office.

The following airports of Indonesia have a Visa-on Arrival facility:

  1. Halim Perdana Kusuma, Jakarta 
  2. Hang Nadim, Riau Islands
  3. Juanda, Surabaya, East Java
  4. Kertajati, Majelangka Regency, West Java
  5. Kualanamu, Medan, North Sumatra 
  6. Minangkabau, padang, West Sumatra
  7. Ngurah Rai, Denpasar, Bali
  8. Soekarno Hatta, Banten, DKI Jakarta
  9. Sam Ratulangi, Manado, North Sulawesi
  10. Sultan Hasanuddin, Makassar, South Sulawesi 
  11. Sultan Iskandar Muda, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh
  12. Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan Timur
  13. Sultan Syarif Kasim II, Pekanbaru, Riau

VoA entitles for a single entry into Bali (Indonesia), for a stay up to 30 days and can be extended for a maximum of one time at the local immigration office (charges apply).

To obtain a VoA, travellers must:

  1. Hold a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
  2. Possess a return or onward ticket.
  3. Pay the VoA fee of IDR 500,000 (approximately USD 35), payable by credit card or cash.
  4. Be a citizen of an eligible country.

Payment can be done by: Visa Card, Master Card, cash in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) or major foreign currency such USD, EURO, GBP, SGD and others as per prevailing exchange rate. Only banknotes accepted, while the change will be in IDR.

Citizens with the following 91 nationalities are eligible for VOA and electronic visa on arrival (e-VOA):

Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Armenian, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Chile, Canada, Czech Republic, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Morocco, Monaco, Macao, Mozambique, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Peru, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Papua New Guinea, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Seychelles, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Tanzania, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uzbekistan, the Vatican, and Venezuela. VoA - Visa on Arrival costs IDR 500.000 per person and the payment is onsite.

Visa Exemption Arrangement (VEA) for 15 Nationalities:

Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Colombia, Hong Kong, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Suriname, Thailand, Timor Leste, Turkey, and Vietnam.

Valid for max 30 Days, non-extendable.

Electronic Visa-on-Arrival (e-VoA):

Indonesian immigration has launched a new online pre-arrival application. This application is used for the issuance of a e-VoA or Single Entry Visitor Visa for tourism purpose for foreigners who will enter Indonesia, before arrival. It is a government portal run by the Directorate General of Immigration under the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and can be reached by clicking: https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/

e-VOA can be applied from 90 days up to 48 hours before arrival in Indonesia. Applications can only be done during working days (Mon to Fri) and from 08.00 to 15.00 Western Indonesian Time zone (WIB), which is seven hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

e-VOA is a single-entry visa which is valid for 30 days stay in Indonesia with the purpose of tourism, government visit, business meeting, goods purchasing, or transit only.

The e-VOA fee is IDR 500.000,00. Please note that every payment via Debit/Credit Card will incur additional fees according to the financial institution’s regulations.

B211A Visa

Travelers holding a B211A visa will be subject to the Pre-flight and entry conditions as outlined below:

  1. Passport validity minimum of 6 months beyond Entry Date to Indonesia.
  2. RETURN air flight ticket

Please do note, that Kelana DMC does not accept any liability for visa approvals and entry requirements into Indonesia.

In case of process B211A visa, we merely assist as a sponsor, but the eventual speed of approval and approval is subject to the Indonesian immigration department. Furthermore, regulations change regularly. We always suggest checking with the closest Indonesian Embassy and the Airline.

Mandatory use of ALL INDONESIA Application:

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has officially launched the ALL INDONESIA application — a digital platform that integrates immigration declaration, health, quarantine, and customs services into a single electronic system. It is a mandatory requirement for all international passengers traveling to Indonesia to complete the application starting from 3 days prior to arrival up to the day of arrival in Indonesia. However, the travelers are strongly advised to complete the declaration before boarding to ensure smooth inspection upon arrival. The regulation will be effective from 1st Sept 2025. The purpose is to enhance travelers’s convenience and reduce congestion upon arrival in Indonesia.

Please follow following steps :

  1. Go to https://allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id and select the language (Indonesian/English/Chinese) and choose the arrival card service.
  2. Choose the nationality status : Indonesian citizen (WNI) or Foreign Visitor (WNA)
  3. Fill the personal information including passport number, full name, date of birth and nationality as per your passport. Then, complete the travel details including arrival date, destination and flight number.
  4. For family/group submission, each traveller is required to enter their individual passport details, not just the lead traveller. However, during the inspection, only the lead traveller’s QR code is needed for the family/group declaration.
  5. Choose the mode of transportation and provide your address in Indonesia. Next, fill in the declaration for immigration, health, customs and quarantine information
  6. Review the information you have entered and make sure it’s accurate then click SUBMIT
  7. Once completed, the arrival card will be shown as a QR code. Please download and keep it for making the arrival process faster, safer and easier.

If you are submitting a family/group declaration (for more than 1 person), it is recommended that all members stay together until the CIQ (Custom, Immigration, Quarantine) inspection process is completed.

Bali Tourism Levy

What is it?

On the 14th of February 2024 The Bali provincial government Bali introduced a special tourist levy. It amounts to IDR 150.000 per person and is mandatory for all international arrivals. The funds generated will be used to protect Balinese culture and improve the natural environment of Bali.

This levy needs to be paid once and is valid during your stay, regardless of how long you will be staying.

How can you pay for it?

As an international visitor you have two options of paying this levy.

Prior to arrival, you may pay online through the website

After payment, you will receive a QR code. This code can be stored on your phone or printed. It is to be shown to agents and officers of the government as proof of your payment.

Alternatively, payment can be made upon arrival at designated counters in various airports. Payment methods can include payment with cash credit cards or the EDC method (Electronic Data Capture).   1. We encourage visitors to consider pre-payment through the Love Bali website mentioned above: https://lovebali.baliprov.go.id
  2. If the website is down, you may still pay after arrival in the airport up to receive your payment.
  3. Checking your payment is done at random by government by officials at well-known tourist spots. Please be aware that the payment of the tourist levy is every traveller’s sole responsibility when entering Bali.
